“The Grey Hat represents atonement for a mistake. The War of Northern Aggression was a failure of populace to recognise federal posturing. The wicked South did not adhere to social standards, and so they had to be put in line. They were a liability to the illusion of control that needed to arise for a more efficient governance of sheeple to occur. The South was a free-radical. The Grey represents a kind of self-governance and rebellion that a globalist must always despise.”

“The Sami wind and the Swedish wind are blowing different ways.”

Arctic ancestral survivalism: on extreme weather Sami wisdom

Published on Dec 22, 2015

The Sami people are one of the oldest semi-nomadic indigenous groups in the world. Traditionally herding reindeer in the Arctic regions of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia’s Kola Peninsula (the region is known as Sapmi), they learned to work with the rhythms of nature in order to survive the harsh climate.

“Nature is everything for us because we think we belong to Mother Earth,” explains Sami writer/artist/teacher Gunnel Heligfjell, “It is not as with Western European thinking that the earth belongs to us, to the human beings. We think that we belong to the earth like the animals and the plants and everything.”

Following the reindeer migrations, they built transportable homes called lavvu from wood and fabric (similar to Native American tipis, but less vertical to sustain high winds). They also have more permanent homes called goahti made from fabric, peat moss or timber and curved poles.

The reindeer are used for food and materials: clothing, shoes, tents, tools, toys, and handicraft. They even play a role in one of the Sami creation myths.

Gunnel Heligfjell is an artist/writer who teaches the Sami language to school children (recognized as an official Swedish minority language in 2000). While she lives in a more conventional home in Vilhelmina, Sweden most of the year, she still spends time in a goahti or lavvu during summer or hunting trips. She believes in this traditional self-reliance and knows how to build traditional shelters and still cures reindeer meat (from her husband’s herd) and makes shoes, bags and fabrics from the skins.

Reports are arriving from Poland that a Nazi ghost train, loaded with treasures plundered by the German Army which was mysteriously lost as it sped away from the Soviet Red Army during the chaotic last days of the Second World War, has finally been found.

Local authorities in the town of Walbrzych in southwest Poland said they have been contacted by a law firm representing a Pole and a German who claim they have located the missing train.

The claimants say they have found a 500-foot long “armored train” with gun platforms and a cargo of “precious metals”.

Mysterious Vessel Surfaces In Bermuda Triangle After 90 years

An unidentified vessel appeared in the zone forbidden for navigation, to the west off Havana, on May 16. After unsuccessful attempts to contact the crew, three patrol boats of the Coast Guard went to intercept the ship.

It turned out that it was an old ship built at the beginning of the last century. No one was on board. A little later, it became clear that the vessel was the legendary SS Cotopaxi,  which mysteriously disappeared in 1925.

6 Military Fakes You Won’t Believe Fooled the World

Who the Hell Bought This?

Being an apparent foreign officer from a friendly country, Weinberg was invited aboard for an inspection, which he gladly accepted. It went swimmingly, and afterward “Commander Weinberg” invited the officers to a dinner at the Astor Hotel the following day, which the captain proceeded to accept. The dinner was a grand affair, the Astor being one of the best hotels in New York, and everyone had a great time. Well, until a couple of cops showed up and arrested “Commander Weinberg,” who was heard to remark that they should have waited until dessert.

Yeah, it turns out that this wasn’t the first time he’d faked his way into free food. The guy was actually named Stanley Clifford Weyman, and he had played the VIP as early as 1910, when he was busted pretending to be the American consul to Morocco, dining at upscale New York restaurants and having the bill sent to the government.

We told you: a fancy-looking military uniform trumps any degree, job title, or letter of recommendation you could possibly get.

Bourne Stone Gives Evidence Of Early Atlantic Crossing

Like it or not, the colonial settlers of America were confronted with traces of cultural diffusion from the very beginning. The topics included Black Indians, Moslem crescent ornaments, Welsh-speaking Indians, Melungeons (Moroscos from Spain), Indians with caucasian appearances, religious elements similar to Christianity, legends that sounded like they had influences from prior Atlantic explorers, and numerous Native American words that appeared to be borrowings from Europe and Africa.

The Mysterious Cave of the Redhead Giants

There have been numerous places across the globe where “burial” sites have been uncovered and giant skeletons excavated. Researchers point out that in the United States, these mysterious giants have been found in Michigan, Illinois and Tennessee, Arizona, and Nevada.

The Paiutes, a tribe of American Indians native to parts of Nevada, Utah and Arizona, told the first “white people” the story of the battles of their ancestors against a race of fierce giants, with pale white skin and red hair.

4,000 Years of World History in One Epic Chart

First published in 1931, this ambitious “Histomap” by John B. Sparks attempts to distil four thousand years of world history starting in 2000 B.C. The histomap was first printed by Rand McNally. It sold for $1 and the five foot long map was folded into a green cover. According to Slate:

“The chart emphasizes domination, using color to show how the power of various “peoples” (a quasi-racial understanding of the nature of human groups, quite popular at the time) evolved throughout history. It’s unclear what the width of the colored streams is meant to indicate. In other words, if the Y axis of the chart clearly represents time, what does the X axis (marked as “relative power of contemporary states, nations, and empires”) represent? What’s the meaning of “power” to the mapmaker? And did Sparks see history as a zero-sum game, in which peoples and nations would vie for shares of finite resources? Given the timing of his enterprise—he made this chart between two world wars and at the beginning of a major depression—this might well have been his thinking.”

To Fight for Freedom, or to Fight for Empire – That is the Question

For Neo, in the movie The Matrix, the choice is incredibly clear: Freedom. He would rather the pain that comes from the truth of the Desert of the Real, than the ominous lie that is the Matrix. But the choice is also very clear for Cypher: Empire. As he insouciantly put it, “Why, oh why, didn’t I choose the blue pill?” Cypher gives up, cowardly deciding ignorance is bliss, forfeiting truth. Neo rises up, courageously deciding knowledge is pain, but so rewarding that it’s worth it.

Similarly, in the movie Avatar, the choice is beyond clear to Jake Sully: Freedom. Get busy remaining a crippled victim of an ego-centric, oppressive, over-reaching military or get busy becoming an interdependent hero with eco-centric morals and universal empathy and compassion? But the choice is also very clear for Colonel Miles Quaritch: Empire. He believes so blindly in the military code that his own loyalty and ego-centrism blinds him to the sheer magnitude of his immoral, uncompassionate, mass-destructive, murderous, and ecocidal rampage of a peaceful people and an interdependent cosmos.

Likewise in the movie Divergent, the choice is clear to Tris Prior: Freedom. She perfects a balance with Abnegation (selflessness), Amity (peacefulness), Candor (honesty), Dauntlessness (bravery), and Erudition (intelligence), in order to leverage freedom into an otherwise unfree system of human governance. But the choice is also clear for the ominous Erudite leader Jeanine Mathews: Empire. She is thoroughly convinced that oppressive divisiveness is the only way to maintain order, not realizing that her blind obedience is at the cost of truth itself.

The fight for freedom is a fight for non-violent (but ruthless and robust) anarchy: a healthy eco-centric, egalitarian balance between nature and the human soul. It is a fight to create something new: a peaceful, courage-based, relationship-based lifestyle that has the power to trump the violent, fear-based, ownership-based lifestyle that is currently plaguing the human condition.

The Dikteon Cave is one of the most important and famous cult places of Minoan Crete.  It is located in the high mountains on the island of Crete in Greece and is associated with the birthplace of the Greek god Zeus.

For centuries it was considered a sacred place of cult worship where offerings were made and few were allowed to enter.  The use of caves as cult places was one of the basic characteristics of the religion of the ancient Cretans, and Dikteon Cave was among the most important and sacred.

Why grow marigolds? Mosquitoes hate them!

Marigolds will stay in bloom all the way until autumn, right up to the first frost. They will bloom more profusely if you remove the dead flowers from the plant. You can grow big marigolds, small marigolds, marigolds of many colors, even edible marigolds. The varieties of marigolds are endless, and almost all of them have a strong and glorious fragrance (though they have even developed a cultivar without much of a smell).

Lima to Restore Pre-Incan Aqueducts to Alleviate Water Crisis

With a rapidly growing population of around 8.75 million Lima is the world’s second largest desert city, and no stranger to water shortages. Three main watersheds supply the city, supplemented by additional water transported in from across the Andes. The city currently faces a water deficit of 43 million cubic meters per year, even though it receives more than enough water during its extremely rainy December-through-May wet season to meet its needs year round.

Robots came to Europe before the dawn of the mechanical age. To a medieval world, they were indistinguishable from magic

“In 807 the Abbasid caliph in Baghdad, Harun al-Rashid, sent Charlemagne a gift the like of which had never been seen in the Christian empire: a brass water clock. It chimed the hours by dropping small metal balls into a bowl. Instead of a numbered dial, the clock displayed the time with 12 mechanical horsemen that popped out of small windows, rather like an Advent calendar. It was a thing of beauty and ingenuity, and the Frankish chronicler who recorded the gift marvelled how it had been ‘wondrously wrought by mechanical art’. But given the earliness of the date, what’s not clear is quite what he might have meant by that.”

“Throughout the Latin Middle Ages we find references to many apparent anachronisms, many confounding examples of mechanical art. Musical fountains. Robotic servants. Mechanical beasts and artificial songbirds. Most were designed and built beyond the boundaries of Latin Christendom, in the cosmopolitan courts of Baghdad, Damascus, Constantinople and Karakorum. Such automata came to medieval Europe as gifts from foreign rulers, or were reported in texts by travellers to these faraway places.”

Swinging for victory: how the political landscape in Scotland is changing

We asked Scottish swing voters to get in touch. We received nearly a thousand responses. The picture that emerged was of an electorate invigorated by the referendum campaign, with old-age loyalties – particularly those to Labour – melting away.

The energies of the Yes campaign have been maintained, resulting in a large surge in membership for the SNP and – albeit from a lower base – Scottish Greens. The focus of Labour’s campaigning in Scotland has been to remind voters that the party with the most seats is most likely to form the next government: in short, that a vote for the SNP could hand victory to the Tories.

    • First, you need to tape up the egg, and then spin it in a pair of tights

    • The reason is that the yolk is denser, so the centrifugal force moves it to the outside of the albumen when the egg is spun

10 Lies Taught To Us In School

    #8  Liquid Glass

“The myth: old windowpanes are thicker at the bottom because glass is a slow moving liquid.

At some point in time, a historian looked at an ancient windowpane and noticed something unusual: the glass was thicker at the bottom than at the top. Since there was no other way to account for it, he came to the conclusion that glass was an extremely slow moving liquid that settled over the years, resulting in thin, brittle glass at the top that gradually thickened towards the bottom edge of the windowpane.

And then everybody believed him. The myth spread until even college professors were teaching it in their classes, since even scientists don’t understand science sometimes. But one researcher recently decided to test the viscosity (rate of flow) of glass, and came to the result that even the least viscous type of glass wouldn’t change much before 10^32 years—aboutthree times the length of the existence of the universe. Though why we should believe him more than the first scientist is a bit of a mystery—effectively they are both making it up.”

Icelandic government commission announces legendary sea monster exists A government investigation carried out by the Fljotsdalsherao municipal council in Iceland has ruled that a legendary sea serpent named Lagarfljotsormurinn, which is rumoured to inhabit Lake Lagarfljot, actually exists. The commission ruled that a 2012 video of what is claimed to be Iceland’s most famous lake monster is authentic.  The Lagarfljótsormur, or ‘Lagarfljót worm’ is an Icelandic lake cryptid which is purported to live in a freshwater, glacial-fed lake in Egilsstaðir. The earliest recorded sightings of the Lagarfljótsormur date back to the Icelandic Annals of 1345, and have continued into the 21st century. However, sightings increased exponentially after a home video shot in 2012 went viral. The home video shows what looks like a long, serpentine form swimming in the glacial lake in eastern Iceland. If the video is authentic, and actually depicts a living creature, it may not be as monstrous as the legends say. Many species of fish have been found which resemble ‘sea monsters’ described in mythological tales, for example, the frilled shark (Chlamydoselachus anguineus), and the giant oarfish (Regalecus glesne). It might just be that a similar species may inhabit Lake Lagarfljot, leading to the development of legendary tales over the centuries.

The Ancient Giants Who Ruled America

“For sheer mind-blowing diversity, the discoveries across the state of Ohio may be the richest and most unusual in the country. Not only are there numerous finds of giants 8-10 feet tall, but there are also related finds that are equally astonishing. Among the most significant are the Cincinnati tablets inscribed with hieroglyphs, textiles that resemble those from Assyria and Babylon, a skull examined by a surgeon in Cincinnati that exhibits evidence of brain surgery that “shows knowledge of practical surgery scarcely excelled at the present day,” as well as evidence of metallurgy, forges, slag, iron and even saws.”

    A Warlike Turkic People—and a Mystery

It is well known that, sometime in the eighth to ninth centuries, the Khazars, a warlike Turkic people, converted to Judaism and ruled over a vast domain in what became southern Russia and Ukraine. What happened to them after the Russians destroyed that empire around the eleventh century has been a mystery. Many have speculated that the Khazars became the ancestors of Ashkenazi Jews.

Experience: I Founded My Own Country

‘My son is 27 and if I were his age, I would probably sell the island and buy a Ferrari. But I am 56 years old, and I want to enjoy everything I have’

“My father wasn’t a king, he was a taxi driver, but I am a prince – Prince Renato II, of the country Pontinha, an island fort on Funchal harbour. It’s in Madeira, Portugal, where I grew up. It was discovered in 1419; Captain James Cook has been here, and there are paintings of his visit.”

    3:35 am

I’m like a general, with no troops!  I can feel it surging in my blood.  (George always said I should have been a fighter pilot.  Josh never got it but he will.)  We have a battle to win!  It’s winnable!  It’s trendy!  It’s tech!  What a fun battle!  It’s like a computer game that sucks you out of real life until you win it.  WTF?  No hackers want to play for the high stakes?  You get to sleep in the heart-shaped bed on the umpteenth floor!  Pretend, in reverse.  Let’s pretend this is the movies.

Where’s my best-in-the-world-on-multiple-games, strategist-genius son when the gaming gets good?

    6:03 pm

It seems that my words may fall on ears unable to hear them.  Subtle nuances of my injury cannot be understood by a man who views sex as my father does.  Nevertheless, I’m instructed to present my life.  My life grows inward, and there, within,  I’ve been injured in subtle ways.  It is enough, if my father does the right thing.  He cannot be expected to feel that which he is incapable of feeling.  He attempted to corrupt a very delicate thing; I don’t know many women who have what I have.  The boys say, “You’ve spiritualized sex so much you’re not even normal.”  Then came the goons.  I really can’t express what it cost me to strut onto my front lawn naked when I told them to fuck-off.  I’ve had a very difficult time of things, and my father owes me 3.5 million dollars.  For the indignity.  That I suffered.  FOR HIS SOUL!

    5:44 pm

My father has some things to make right.

    5:42 pm

It seems to me, that “utterly complete vindication” would necessarily include vindication with George.  I’ve been in monogamous union since I was very young.  It was very important to me.  He should understand  why I left.  “The servant is worthy of his labor.”

    5:30 pm

George believed every word I ever said until my dad got ahold of him.  Never doubted each other, never once…I published those very words…

    10:33 am
George is starting the fire, God bless him.  He’s shoveling still-smoldering debris…I haven’t tended it since Friday when I realized the chimney was too plugged to maintain a flame.  Josh loved the medals and trinkets I got for him; one patch is Asian but he likes it anyway.  His car wouldn’t start and he started the borrowed car without realizing it was a stick…it ran into the garage but it doesn’t look like it’s damaged.
    12:04 pm
George and I have talked about the weather thirteen times already.  I am so grateful that I got to go to Belgium without having to hold anybody’s hand.  He gets confused choosing a parking spot.  I really dislike living with him and I tell him so every 3-4 months.  He doesn’t believe me the very next minute, I think.  He bought me beer this morning.
    5:15 pm
I just called George stupid; I never do that and I try not to even think it.  I was telling him about the conference and the people I met… and how important it was, all that we went through.  I said, “We can HELP people!”  No reaction of course, but I pushed it.  I said, “Isn’t that amazing?”  (Or something like that.)  He said, “Linda, I don’t know how much of that I believe.”  Then I said, “I was just at a CONFERENCE in BELGIUM…”  He said, “I know.” I’ve asked him before if he remembers picking me up from the floor while my voluntary muscles stopped working and the involuntary ones had me in orgasmic hell.  He remembers those dark times, but they are long past and we walk now through roses on our way to the prison.  This is intentional, by-the-will, CHOSEN ignorance.  He’s stupid.  I feel no residual guilt over the divorce; he didn’t notice anyway.  I am so perfectly positioned for a miracle and I can feel it coming.  I have defended my family against the onslaught of HELL itself.  God is never late.

    10:36 am

I made grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for Josh.  He liked the medals I bought him in Belgium.

Hat worn by Napoleon during one of his greatest victories sells for £1.5MILLION at auction: Anonymous South Korean bidder pays huge sum for two-pointed bicorne he wore at Battle of Marengo

    • Hat worn by Napoleon Bonaparte during Battle of Marengo sold at auction
    • Two-pointed black felt bicorne sold for a record breaking £1.5m near Paris
    • Anonymous South Korean paid enormous sum for the rare headwear piece

Rare: The last time one of the hats came up for sale in France was in 1968, meaning there was huge interest today. Napoloen changed his hat at least three times a year, and this one was recovered by Joseph Giraud

Before the bicorne, there was the tricorne – a three-cornered hat which became popular in the 18th Century.

The tricorne evolved from the broad-rimmed round hats worn by Spanish soldiers by pinning up three sections to form a triangle.

For this reason, they were also known as ‘cocked hats’.

The modification allowed gentry, in particular, to show off their expensive wigs, but their smaller size also made them much more practical to carry.

By the end of the 18th Century, however, the tricorne had fallen out of fashion in favour of the bicorne.

However, tricornes can still be seen today as part of the uniform of the Chelsea Pensioners (top right).

The bicorne was generally worn with the points at the front and back.

But Napoleon chose to wear them sideways ‘to make himself noticed’, according to auctioneer Jean-Pierre Osenat.

‘His body was like a human soda bottle’: say doctors who gave diver a rare treatment in a hyperbaric chamber after a near fatal diving accident

    • Terry Begnoche, 64, went on a dive on September 18 in Michigan
    • But he forgot to put on weights and ascended from the water too quickly
    • When he reached the surface, he tried to decompress
    • But he soon complained that he could not move his arms or legs
    • He was airlifted to hospital where he received treatment
    • Doctors dug up the treatment in a U.S. Navy Diving Manual
    • Begnoche had to spend over two days in a chamber
    • Following treatment Begnoche has not regained the ability to walk
    • It is not known whether he will make a full recovery as the case is so rare

Begnoche and other volunteers had dived on September 18 to capture shipwrecked footage off the coast of Grand Marais, Michigan according to The Star Tribune.

They used underwater lighting and a video camera to examine the recently discovered Nelson, a three-masted ship that sank off the coast of Grand Marais, Mich., in 1899.

However, Begnoche forgot to put on a weight that would have controlled his ascent back up to the top of the water.

The project was part of his work with the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum.

Did you know Buddha, Lao Tzu, Mahavira, Zoroaster and Heracletus were all contemporaries? That was the wake up of their day!

“Around the same time the teachings of Lao Tzu summarized in the amazing Tao Te Ching were changing the direction and consciousness of China and eventually the entire world. Meanwhile over in Persia there was Zoroaster teaching a new spirituality, while in Greece the pre-Socratic philosophers Heraclitus and Parmenodes and others were having an awakening of their own, espousing very esoteric teachings on the timeless and constantly changing nature of the Universe.”

“We’re undergoing an amazing transformation. Absolutely diametrically opposed to the constant, gradual attempt by elitists to shut down humanity via eons of engineered subjugation, we’re being consciously and vibrationally liberated by the very nature of the Universe in spite of all their efforts.”

    “Don’t Be Too Surprised…

…When strange things happen to you. They will. Learn to roll with it. Personally, I think the power of expectancy is huge. It has pulling power. When you’re aware of and even look around for these manifestations, whether a kind of voice in your mind’s ear, a strong intuitive pull, a fleeting glimpse of something, or another amazing synchronicity, it’s a blast! But for some it goes way past that. But we all have that potential.”

Archaeologists move further inside Alexander the Great era tomb – but will it collapse?

    • The tomb is situated in the Amphipolis region of Serres in Greece
    • Its huge burial site is said to date back between 325 and 300 BC
    • This means it could have been built during the reign of Alexander the Great
    • Archaeologists have now entered the third chamber of the tomb
    • However, it is structurally weak and could collapse if they enter further
    • It is unknown if anything lies beyond the third chamber

“Last year I wrote an article about how Swedish society is disintegrating and is in danger of collapsing, at least in certain areas and regions. The country that gave us Bergman, ABBA and Volvo could become known as the Bosnia of northern Europe. The “Swedish model” would no longer refer to a stable and peaceful state with an advanced economy, but to a Eurabian horror story of utopian multiculturalism, socialist mismanagement and runaway immigration. Some thought I was exaggerating, and that talk of the possibility of a future civil war in Sweden was pure paranoia. Was it?”

The Development of Siege Warfare in Classical Antiquity

    By Jesse Obert, B.A.

Siege warfare has influenced human settlement since the dawn of civilization. Some of the earliest human communities included fortification walls, and the evolution of these fortifications directly correlated to the evolution of siege technology. This had a profound impact on how cities insured their citizens’ safety and how power shifted across the Mediterranean. In antiquity, siege warfare progressed with the cultural ideals of the time and ultimately determined the physical space that communities occupied.

Thank  you for the spices and herbs,  I like them very much.  I used rosemary and thyme in the soup.

Spices are more valuable than herbs.  Herbs are just leaves and flowery things, but spices must be ripped from the very bark and nuts and seeds. They are crushed to release their fragrance.  (We don’t really taste spices and herbs, we smell them.)  Nuts contain a lot of oil, but leaves are mostly cellulose and water.  Nuts are programmed with reproduction and life.  A leaf can be cloned, but only if it has a bit of the stalk attached. (Unless you’re at Princeton or something.)  A clone is an exact duplicate of the original.   Inside a single nut though, is everything necessary to make a new tree.  Not a duplicate tree like a leaf-clone, but a brand new life with unique characteristics.  Coriander is the seed of the cilantro plant.  Fresh cilantro is tasty but the dried variety is always disappointing.  But I’ve had coriander seeds in my cupboard for years, and when I crush them the fragrance is just as wonderful.  Coriander and cilantro are very different.  I’ve never heard complaints about coriander but some people think cilantro tastes like soap.

All my life I’ve been surrounded by those who deemed my convictions meaningless, and my passion inappropriate.  Last night George returned from his bi-annual vacation at his mother’s where he eats her cooking and watches her TV.  He’s had a girlfriend during his past few “vacations” but chose his mom’s house instead of Miss Extremely-Hot-to-Trot.  I didn’t even cry until an hour after he got up today.  I’m much stronger.
In 2011 I cried for days before his return, wishing he’d find a different life waiting for him.
I’ve always wanted someone to tell me what to do and to make me be braver and stronger.  I can take criticism, I know this because I’ve had more than my fair share and I still maintain “inappropriate” convictions, and I still desire bravery and strength.  “Thank you Lord, for giving me what the world would not.  I am encouraged that I have not often been wrong, because you made the decisions.  I am strengthened because you will not allow the fatherless to do without.”
My seventeen year-old son does not yet have a drivers’ license.  He has a permit, but he doesn’t want  to go anywhere.  His “vacation” with his father required 1,280 driving-miles and my son drove only the final 85.  I asked the father about why the son had not driven more.  “He can drive after he gets his drivers’ license.”  I dared to say that I thought it in the boy’s best interest to gain more experience.  The father said, “He’s driven more than I had before I got my license.”    He does not wish better for his son.  This is an unusual father.  His sole goal in life is to ensure that nothing changes.  Things change all around him but he does not see it.
The boy took issue with my declaration of anarchy.  It’s impossible, he told me.  Then he told me why, and he had some very good reasons.  When I stammered that I was a simple philosophical-anarchist, he told me the story of a bunch of anarchists who saw an old man way up a flagpole, clinging for dear life.  They asked why he was up there.  He said he wasn’t really sure. The anarchists said, “He has the same problem we do, but in reverse.  He’s doing something but he doesn’t know why.  We know why, but we don’t know what to do.”  This brilliant boy requires direction that has been denied him by his father, his grandfather, his former church and every man in his life. (Except his brother.)  Like I said, I’ve always wanted someone to tell me what to do.  I see his beauty but don’t know how to influence him.  Or even if I should.

I can’t make the letters smaller:

“They are afraid of the old for their memory, they are afraid of the young for their innocence they afraid of the graves of their victims in faraway places they are afraid of history. They are afraid of freedom. They are afraid of truth. They are afraid of democracy. So why the hell are we afraid of them? … For they are afraid of us.” — Czech Group Plastic People of the Universe, Prague 1968
