Monowi
Nebraska

6 monowi

Monowi was founded by Czech migrants in northeast Nebraska, and it has only one resident: 77-year-old Elsie Eller. Population-wise, Monowi is the smallest jurisdiction in the US. Elsie runs the town’s only tavern and library, which is made up of about 5,000 books owned by her late husband, Rudy. She also serves as the town’s mayor, clerk, and treasurer. She also runs the council. In the 1930s, the town had a population of about 150 people, but by 2000, it had two: Elsie and her husband, Rudy. Elsie’s husband passed away in 2004, leaving Elsie as the town’s lone resident. Every year, Elsie pays tax to the town to maintain its four streetlights and provide other basic amenities. Several abandoned buildings in the town are covered with grass, slowly fading into obscurity, while others have collapsed.

Astonishing scenes at woman’s funeral as stray dogs unexpectedly show up to pay their respects to lady who used to feed them

  • Margarita Suarez of Merida, Yucatan, was well known for feeding the stray dogs and cats that would show up at her home
  • Family members were stunned when the dogs suddenly appeared at the funeral parlor where Margarita’s body was being kept
  • On the day of the funeral, March 15, the dogs even formed a procession behind her hearse

Realizing that the animals had come to pay their respects to Margarita, the staff allowed the dogs to come in and they peacefully laid on the floor near the woman's coffin

A psychopath with good intentions.  Now there’s a cat we will soon witness .  What if a person 1) had all the finely-honed skills of a successful psychopath, 2) was way smarter than the rest of us, and 3) used his powers for good?

(I guess we’d have to begin by defining some terms.)

Is your future already decided? New theory of time suggests that the past, present AND future co-exist in the universe

  • A Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor of philosophy has presented a new theory of time
  • Dr Bradford Skow says the idea that time flows like a river is not correct
  • Instead he claims space-time is a ‘block universe’ where the past, present and future all exist together
  • If we were to look down upon the universe, we would see time spread out
  • But he adds the present is not a ‘spotlight’ in time – but rather we are in a ‘temporally scattered’ condition

“The Bible, like most other basic theological texts, treats psychic process as a central ingredient, in a tone so matter-of-fact that one is inclined to believe that people of those times accepted such events rather routinely.”  (Robert G. Jahn)

Wouldn’t it be really funny if after Jesus reveals truth and establishes his throne…what if… What if there were more homosexuals remaining than Baptists?  I’d love to emcee the floor show at that point.

I do not like Rand Paul.  I do not like his curly hair, especially when it’s under a yarmulke.  I do not like his mint-julep meetings with rich guys at the Derby.  I do not like his showboat political career and I suspect I would not like him to have more power over my world.  I red an article talking about Randy’s great difficulty overcoming  his father’s “ghosts.”  Poor analogy;  ghosts are dead people and Ron Paul is not dead.  Ron Paul has been the most consistent, peculiarly un-compromised voice for peace in American politics during my lifetime.  I’m confused that he was able to maintain his seat without public compromise, and maybe there are things I would prefer not  to know, but he speaks for human freedom and always has.  Randy speaks for the camera.
Also, I had a vision of Ron Paul one time.  He was in a crystal box on wheels, sort of like the old Popemobile.  The surface was beveled and caught the light from intricate faceting all over.  As Dr. Paul  rode in it,  black demon-monkey-democrat-(just kidding…)-monsters were climbing all over the box, trying to get at him.  They couldn’t get in.  Although they attacked from all sides, his back was always towards all of them. I have no idea what that means.

I think homosexuality is sad, because it doesn’t maximize potential.  I figure it will be a non-issue when we all are confident enough to look for the highest potential in ourselves and others.  We will become confident when we are loved sufficiently.

World population is shrinking, not expanding! Most national birthrates are below the replacement level of 2.1 children per woman.

“Even the USA where a large immigrant Hispanic population immigration has kept birth rates higher, is now facing reduction. A Pew Research Center report found that immigrant births fell from 102 per 1,000 women in 2007 to 87.8 per 1,000 in 2012, to bring the overall US birthrate to a mere 64 per 1,000 women—not enough to sustain current population. Europe, in short, is dying off, China and Russia, and the United States as  well.”

“Sometimes I wish I could just passively accept what my government monarchs and their mainstream media mouthpieces feed me on a daily basis. Why do I have to question everything I’m told? Life would be much simpler and I could concentrate on more important things like the size of Kim Kardashian’s ass, why the Honey Boo Boo show was canceled, the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, whether I’ll get a better deal on Chinese slave labor produced crap on Black Thanksgiving, Black Friday, or Cyber Monday, fantasy football league standings, the latest NFL player to knockout their woman and get reinstated, Obama’s latest racial healing plan, which Clinton or Bush will be our next figurehead president, or the latest fake rape story from Rolling Stone. The willfully ignorant masses, dumbed down by government education, lured into obesity by corporate toxic packaged sludge disguised as food products, manipulated, controlled and molded by an unseen governing class of rich men, and kept docile through never ending corporate media propaganda, are nothing but pawns to the arrogant sociopathic pricks pulling the wires in this corporate fascist empire of debt.”

Facebook would be valuable to the powers that be, even if they did not 1) spy on us, 2) report our thoughts to the government, and 3) perform mind-control experiments on us.  It also keeps us focused on inane garbage and innocuous controversies.  Maybe Obama plans to give Zuckerberg a  knighthood when the shit has settled.  He won’t have the chance.
