North Carolina man who covered his bizarre compound home in 150 Confederate flags after Charleston church massacre lands himself in jail for failing to show at court

  • Edward Lee West, 69, of Rocky Mount, was arrested on Wednesday on a probation violation
  • After he failed to show up for a court hearing last week, a judge put him in jail until his August 5 appearance
  • West, who has lived in his home for 37 years, has more than 150 Confederate flags
  • He displays several of them in front of his barbed-wired, fenced-in home
